Hi all you lovely dance sisters,
I've connected with Louden and the deal is this: I will reserve the space for existing class times through when Palika returns. It's $24 an hour. We can divide the cost of the room by the number of attendees for each practice, but I'll need some assurance that at least some of you will show up for each time slot so I'm not eating the cost of 3 room rentals a week. I will also make sure there's music and that we are properly set up for that.
Also, please be thinking about how each of you would like to grow in your dance practice. Please remember, Vanya, Shannon, and myself are not formally teaching, but we are here to help facilitate your growth in practice. I know for myself it's always much more comforting to go into a class or practice that has some structure. Palika's structure is so present and reassuring that I think it may be a little disconcerting at first to not have her there, but I think if we all work together we can build a practice structure that meets all of our needs, but maybe different than a standard class structure. Are there particular movements you want to work on? Drilling? Free dance? How should meditation work? Stretching? Please be thinking about all of these things and any other concerns or questions you have when we meet this week.
I'm planning on starting up tomorrow, Tuesday January 6. 2a meets at 5:30pm to 7:15pm. and level 3 at 7:30pm
Thursday night January 8, is 2b from 6pm to 7:30pm.
After our initial meetings the class levels could conceivably be more fluid depending on what everyone's needs are.

Please contact me with your commitment to class, as well as any questions or concerns you may have. I'm here for whatever you need.

Also, Please please please come and continue to dance. Change is scary, and I'm sure a lot of us are nervous about this change in practice structure, but I can promise you one thing. Dance is a path to greater growth and if you just follow that path you'll learn something new and amazing about yourself.
I feel such deep love and gratitude to get to dance with all of you and I can't imagine not getting to do that every week.
Much Love,
Joyce

Dance,
When you’re broken open.
Dance,
If you’ve torn the bandage off.
Dance,
In the middle of fighting.
Dance,
In your blood.
Dance,
When you’re perfectly free.
