i gave birth to my son, rohnan, two months ago and i am ready to start dancing again. i posted another topic in bellydancing mamas about ear protection for him. does anyone know anything?

For your babies ears, cotton would work fine, anything smaller that you can't put in or out w/your fingers is not a good idea. You might also want to start using music in your home and playing zills when he is awake and happy, most babies love it. Alos find a happy time, when you're holding him and put on some belly dance music and sway and hip lift away!
YOu are most welcome Sat morns. I only have 2 Sats left before I take a summer break though, the next two weeks at Louden 9:30 - 11. Also I would love to meet your baby, so have hubby bring him when he brings you to class, so I can meet him and smell his preciouis little head! We used to have a dancer who's husband would come w/baby in sling, while she danced and then he was there at the end of class for his breastfeeding session. It was lovely and we'd all coo around and drink in the new baby bliss!

It was I and some other mamas dancing w/ new babies (not so long ago) in our wombs, then dancing afterward in class with the milk leaking at a certain point in class. I STILL have a hard time not positioning myself near the door, as I did when my boys were little so I could slip out if my husband poked his head in with a cranky baby. Blessings on your birth and your transition to mamahood- the birth of your fierce Durga warrior mama self. You will appreciate the dance all the more with your new hips....
Blessings- enjoy those dark gateway eyes- they are indeed still connected to the source! It is no mistake that the fontanel is open, and is at the exact position of the crown chakra. They are still connected to Spirit and don't fully enter the world until 2 years when the fontanel closes and they become earthly bound.
If I wasn't travelling on the east coast right now, I would love to catch a glimpse into those magical baby eyes after class!
