This Saturday I'm having a Hafla (Middle Eastern House Party). Please come on out and share a dish and a lot of dancing. I'll be putting on some tunes, and we'll be dancing the evening away.
This event is totally free and open to all Heavy Hipsters past and present. Feel free to bring your kids, friends, and Significant Others.

I'm planning on having a Hafla on Saturday, February 21. All Heavy Hips members past and present are welcome and encouraged. You don't need to be currently attending practice to come on out and shake your thang!
When: Saturday, February 21. 7PM until we drop
Where: 2540 Freedom Blvd., Watsonville, CA
Hwy. 1 South to the Freedom Blvd. exit.
Take Freedom Blvd. eventually you'll reach the five mile market and Alladin Nursery. There's a 4 way stop at that point. Go through the stop sign and continue on Freedom Blvd.
Go out a mile or two past the stop sign. You're looking for Pacific Firewood on your left.
The driveway is just before Pacific Firewood. It's kind of hard to spot, I'll put out a couple of wooden signs shaped like pigs to let you know where it is. Pull down the driveway and park behind the house or in front in the circular drive.

What: Wanna dance, twirl, leap and twist? Need an excuse to wear all of those fabulous dance clothes you buy and then never get around to wearing? Then dress up! If you just want to kick it in sweats you can do that too. Just come dance. Don't want to/ can't dance right now? Bring your zills or drum and participate from the sidelines. Please bring some food and/or beverages to share.
How: I'll put on a playlist and we'll dance the night away. This is not a performance evening, it's a bunch of friends and acquaintances getting up in a big group and dancing, laughing, talking, eating around the living room like a gaggle of 12 year old girls having a slumber party. Come on out and dance and reconnect with your silly, slinky, shimmying self and your sisters in dance.
